O2 - Dublin

Walter Watson Ltd have completed the fabrication installation of approximatly 2900t of structural steel in the O2 Dublin formally "The Point".   The complex installation required the origional facade of the building to be retained and also reusing a number of the origional buildings wrought iron trusses and cast iron columns. The main construction consusted of four super columns each 27m in height and weighing 100t.  The columns are connected by a series of 54m long x 6m deep roof trusses.  The article below  is from New Steel Construction magazine.  Further images for the project can be found in the client portfollio sectionof the website.
