In partnership with ABUS cranes GmbH, we provide material handling solutions to the leading names in engineering & manufacturing throughout Ireland and the UK. We have recently moved into our new state of the art stand-alone manufacturing facility with dedicated spares, admin, and increased fabrication capacity.

Walter Watson provides a complete range of lifting solutions ranging from overhead cranes from 1t – 100t capacity at spans up to 35m. We also supply a wide range of jib cranes, chain and wire rope hoists, HB Light crane systems and portable gantry cranes. We can also manufacture bespoke cranes such as Goliath and semi-goliath on request. Working alongside our structural steel department, we can provide runways and freestanding support structures if required.

Service

Walter Watson provides a complete service solution for your peace of mind. We are full members of LEEA (Lifting Equipment Engineers Association). Our engineers are fully trained by ABUS and to diploma standard by LEEA. This allows us to take care of all your service and breakdown requirements and we are also able to carry out LOLER inspections on your cranes and lifting accessories. Our service vans are fully kitted “mobile workshops”. Each van features a portable electric access platform ensuring our engineers’, safe access to cranes quickly. We carry a comprehensive spares stock in Castlewellan, ready for same-day dispatch.

Accessories

We can provide a complete package of accessories for existing cranes including radio remote controls, travel limits, photoelectric anti-collision, tandem crane control, load displays etc. We can also provide any under hook equipment required i.e., magnet lifters, vacuum lifters, and stock a complete range of chain sling components and polyester slings.
